Missing Protector Strategy

This life-saving strategy was identified by Dan Korem in the late 1980s and published in his critically acclaimed book, Suburban Gangs—The Affluent Rebel (1994). He identified the most important intervention—the Missing Protector Factor—that stops gang recruitment. School counselors and mental health profesisonals, though, said it would stop most at-risk youth behavior. Dan was skeptical, but they were right.
