WHAT IS SNAPSHOT?

Snapshot is the easy-to-use format for applying the Korem Profiling System® (KPS) first published in Dan’s classic book, The Art Of Profiling, which has been read and counted on by tens of thousands to read and treat people right the first time. It’s so easy to learn, even teens can do it!

HOW SNAPSHOT WORKS

SNAPSHOT IS THE ON-THE-SPOT READ OF SOMEONE'S ACTIONS.

You answer four simple and direct questions in your mind about someone and you can access a 3-page profile that includes:

No tests. No questions asked. Within minutes of meeting people…or before you meet someone.

Globally, people use the Korem Profiling System® (KPS) in their professional and personal lives

THE SNAPSHOT ADVANTAGE

LEARN HOW TO READ ANYONE, EVEN IF THEY PUT ON A GAME FACE.

This is a noted European reporter who unknowingly put on a game face during an interview with Dan. (From Snapshot)

ONLINE SNAPSHOT WORKSHOPS

Participants achieve same level of accuracy as in-person workshops...and technology allows more interaction.
RAPID-FIRE

Snapshot enables you to access someone's comprehensive profile within minutes of interaction...even if you have never met them.

OBSERVATIONAL

This is not about reading body language. Your "reads" are made using specific observations that you'll learn...even if you don't speak their language.

ACCURATE

Snapshot was built to eliminate cultural, ethnic, and racial stereotyping...and has two safety checks to correct misreads on the fly.

PROFILING

Snapshot identifies a person’s behavioral profile—their core behavioral traits—so you'll understand their "talk" separate from their "walk" and how to interact with them. You can even profile a project, message, product, service, or a group/organization.

STUDENTS LEARN SNAPSHOT FASTER THAN ADULT PROFESSIONALS

Data shows they achieve 90% accurate reads after a day of training.

In the times we live in, don’t you think you could put Snapshot to work in your personal and professional life?

Reading and Treating People Right the First Time

START WITH SNAPSHOT TO READ ANYONE, ANYWHERE, ANYTIME.

For years, people asked Dan Korem for a fast-track way to make reads without learning the entire Korem Profiling System® (KPS). Dan’s book, Snapshot, is profiling “lite” and answers that call.

You’ll learn the four quick reads you can use today.

The first two short chapters, which you can read and download, provides real-life examples of how the KPS was used to close a major deal, repair a personal relationship, why 8 of 9 students who use Snapshot increase their grades 7-15 points in their toughest courses, and how a major school attack was averted.

You’ll also learn how the KPS was created for presidents of major companies negotiating in foreign countries where they persistently stereotyped and mishandled sensitive negotiations where millions of dollars and peoples’ lives were at stake. They were members of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and were Dan’s first clients.

Snapshot provides scores of examples how to use the KPS professionally and personally. If you want more in-depth insight and learn the whole KPS , then dive into The Art of Profiling, 2ed. expanded edition or join a workshop.

SNAPSHOT READS ON HOLIDAY

It was Dan and Sandy’s 40th anniversary trip. The last stop on their trip was Normandy, France, where the D-Day landing unfolded.

They stayed in a manor, Chateau Vouilly, that dates back to William the Conqueror and was the headquarters where the 1st US Army Press Camp covered the Battle of Normandy. Ernest Hemmingway, Walter Cronkite, and others who later became legends filed there reports here. Faithfully maintained just as it was in 1944, Dan noticed a striking portrait of a woman in the breakfast room—the same room where the reporters filed their reports.

Life-like, she was fierce and resolute without pretension. Not the usual pompous portrait one often sees in large manors. It was hung high on the wall next to their table. With one Snapshot read, Dan suspected there might be a story that matched her fierceness. He asked the owner of the manor, James Hamel, about the painting.

“Oh, that’s my Grandmere [grandmother] Alexandrina,” he said. James retold the real-life tale of her bravery and how she cleverly defied the Nazi commander who sought to use her home as his headquarters. He was unsuccessful through a clever ruse she used. And, as often happens in history, none of the soon-to-be famous writers ever told her story, although she was beloved by them and knew her story well.

“Who painted her portrait?” Dan asked.

“Oh, that was Maurice Delavier. He was one of France’s twentieth century greatest artists. He and my grandfather were German prisoners of war in Stalag 6-A, in the north of Germany where they endured the harshest of winters.”

It was also where Delavier created some of the finest POW drawings ever rendered using whatever he could find—a bit of charcoal from a fire, a quill from a bird’s feather, and ink pilfered from an officer’s desk.

“After the war, Delavier, in 1946, had all the drawings printed in five hundred hand-printed portfolios,” James explained and showed Dan the one he had.

Dan promised to tell Alexandrina’s story in his new book, Snapshot, complete with photographs he took of the manor and James reenacting Alexandrina’s brave ruse to repel the commander.

When Dan returned to the states, he hunted for a copy of Delavier’s portfolio. He found the last available copy hidden in an antiquarian book dealer’s shop in Nebraska, and he bought it. Some of those drawings are featured in the chapter, Snapshot Reads on Holiday.

Each life-like portrait is remarkable, untrapped by time, each revealing a different profile that you’ll immediately recognize once you learn the four Snapshot reads. It’s an inspiring tale that encourages the reader to ask: What treasures will you uncover in your travels, at a family gathering, or from an old letter with a Snapshot read?

JOASIA'S STORY

POLAND

This Polish high school student attended a Snapshot workshop with 50 educators when she visited Texas. Dan told her she would be the top performer, and she was, finishing at 90% Snapshot read accuracy.

He predicted this because he uncovered a pattern of who has the highest accuracy after a day of training, and how to replicate it in any group. As explained in his book Snapshot, 19-26 year-olds have the highest accuracy, as do auditors, people who are honest and transparent, and of all the European countries, Poland has the highest accuracy. Solve the riddle. What do all these groups have in common?

Once solved, you can apply the same characteristic found in all these groups and accelerate your Snapshot read accuracy. (The answer is in Chapter 6, “Who Sees It First, the Quickest?”)

Dan took Joasia’s photo next to fascinating youth graffiti in Warsaw, Poland. He was training business and military professionals there as well as high school students and teachers. He knew Joasia and her family and invited her to attend a workshop when she visited the U.S.
